Compassion in Action: Emergency Medical Program

United Animal Friends is passionate about fulfilling our mission to provide rescue programs and services to animals and those who care for them, and our goal of relieving animals’ suffering by facilitating the compassionate care and treatment of animals. When a cherished pet is sick or injured, it affects both the pet and the pet parent. For low-income individuals, having a pet suffer and not being able to afford critical veterinary care can lead to the heartbreaking decision to surrender the pet to a shelter. The Emergency Medical Program helps pay for emergency veterinary care for companion animals in low-income households, allowing the pets to remain with their families.

This program is funded in part by grants from the Arizona Community Foundation of Yavapai County and individual donations.
